Personal Comments
I have chosen to make a yoghurt cake because it's French, simple to make and you can add whatever you want in this cake.
As to me, I have added some other ingredients. I have chosen to add some carrots and spices, because English people sometimes make carrot cake. It looks like pudding, "French pudding". Because in pudding there can be a lot of different ingredients. I know, for French people, a carrot cake is really strange, but I like to try other things.
After, I wanted to add something else: cranberries because it comes from Quebec, and Quebeckers cook cranberries very much. The I also added maple syrup which comes from Canada.
These three countries are linked by their past, because French and English people colonized Canada, and French people created Quebec. And thanks to that, they are bound by their way of cooking.
A lot of Quebec recipes come from England. French and Quebeckers speak the same language. So this cake gathers the culture of these three countries.

England and France are today two countries in perfect peace.
The last conflict between them was during the American Independence War. In the twentieth century, they were allies for the two World Wars.
It's really funny because in just thirty years, two countries that difficult relations for one thousand years, have become the best friends in the world...
If you try to remove the crumble out of the pie, good luck ... Like England and France, the crumble and the apple pie are inseparable.
